Haha... Yesh, decided to draw something a little different this week. 
After spending some time up at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I noticed one of these little critters. This fellow is perhaps one of my favorite suckers (literally).
Vampyroteuthis Infernalis (The Vampire Squid from Hell).
Reaching an average length of about eight inches and first described in 1903 by Carl Chun, this cephalopod (a member of the Octopus/Squid family) is considered by most marine biologists to be neither octopus or squid, but rather something in-between. Considered an ancient, forgotten relic, it has cirri (soft, fleshy spiky protrusions) as well as small suction cups on its arms.
A deep-sea squid, little is known about it, other than the fact that it is covered in light organs (bioluminescent spots), and that it is a remarkable contortionist.
Yeah, so, a small run-around for marine biology.
